Little Diggers Preschool

Little Diggers is a unique centre, situated within the grounds of the RSL Lifecare ANZAC Village in the heart of Collaroy Plateau (also affectionally known as the ‘War Vets’). We are a 56-place-long daycare and preschool, catering for children ages 0-5 years. Our goal at Little Diggers is to build resilient children who have confidence in themselves.

Children ages 0-two join our Kittens class, ages three to four join the Pussycat classes, and children ages fur to five join the Owls class.

Each of our classrooms provides rich, play-based learning programs to extend children’s interests and abilities. Our spaces are beautifully presented and organised and, are adapted to support each and every child’s participation.

Child Safety Standards

We follow the Child Safe Standards to create and maintain a culture where children are safe, listened to, and respected. These standards guide our policies, staff training, recruitment practices, and responses to concerns.

Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations

Our service meets all legislative requirements relating to child protection, mandatory reporting, supervision, and risk management.

All educators and staff at Little Diggers Preschool understand their legal and ethical responsibilities to protect children from harm and to respond appropriately to any concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing.

Acknowledgement of country

We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of this Land, The Gayamaygal People, and their Elders past, present and future.

We acknowledge that we are now all responsible for looking after this Land and we make a promise to educate our children and families on the importance of taking care of it.

We are thankful for the amazing bush landscape on which our preschool sits, the abundance of wildlife that visits us weekly and the opportunities we have to learn more about the local history and culture.”
