The Red pussycat class are learning about the lett

The Red pussycat class are learning about the letter E and as part of our dramatic play post office we also learnt about Envelopes.

We drew a special drawing we are sending to ourselves and practiced posting our mail in the kindy letterbox before we walked up to see Lana post them in the red letterbox 📮 across the road from kindy.

It’s a very busy road , so we just watched for safety reasons as there is no crossing to use.

The pussycat classes had a wonderful time just bef

The pussycat classes had a wonderful time just before lunch planting their little barrel gardens.

It was lovely watching them all take turns, share garden utensils and watering cans.

We also have strawberries, snow peas and passion fruit flowering along with our fruit trees in our main playground.

The best outdoor day ever 🌻

Today the owls had their classroom outdoors.

The sunshine was perfect to plant a new pizza garden 🍕🍅🌿🥗🌶️

You have all been asking if the tomato garden 🍅 that self seeded earlier this year would return.

So today the owls planted out the garden in the front of kindy, and the combined pussycat classes planted theirs near the chickens ........
Now if we can just keep the bush turkeys away 🥒

Community 🏫 A wonderful community walk after our

Community 🏫

A wonderful community walk after our recent book week experiences and seeing our grand-friends library.

We went on an excursion to St Rose School and visited their library 📚 🤎🙏🏼

Brooke, Gabby, Suzie and Lynda walked the owls class up to the school 🏫 practicing our social skills and road safety 🚸🚏🚷

We met some of the teachers and saw their environmental garden and playgrounds before the year 5 and 6 leaders who took us to their library for story time.

We then saw the bathrooms, the bubbler and had morning tea before a quick play on their equipment before returning to Little Diggers.

We are truly grateful for our local community and outside the gate activities, walking 👫👭👭👬safely back to kindy.

The red pussycat class pet week was loads of fun for the whole class.

They did a mixture of imaginary play, directed drawing, bingo games, food activities and stories.

Our families also shared their pets via our Storypark app for our group time learning !
